This is a good idea to make money but requires 40 smithing and atleast 5 crafting the higher the better.

Mine some gold

smelt it into gold bars

get a mould for a pecie of jewwray you would like to make

get any gems you can use

use furnace to turn it into an item

go sell it in a jewrray shop

This methord will make an avvrage of 500gp a time per item but the higer you levelsthe more money also if you get mulipule gold bars you can make lots of money per trip

our suggested route is to mine in rimmington and go to falador then on to sarim to make and sell the items
